Question by Winnie M: For wedding rings I am considering a gem w/diamonds instead of traditional diamonds. What do you think?
This will be my second marriage. My first marriage the ring was traditional 1 carat princess cut with 8 princess cuts on the side. Want something different for second time around. Everything I look at now is all the same, every store has the same thing just different prices, so I want to go with something unique, but still elegant for a ring. I am thinking of a light blue or sapphire with diamonds. My wedding are those colors. Let me know what you think.

Do you mean a wedding ring or an engagement ring?
I have an aquamarine center stone with little diamonds on the side for my engagement ring. Here is a pic:

My fiance chose a regular engagement ring setting then had the jeweler find an aquamarine to put into the ring. It can be done and sometimes you can find nice gemstone rings right in the store that will work for the ring you want.

Choose a robust classic look with this extra wide traditional men’s wedding band, made from brightly polished 10 karat white gold. The plain design is simple and enduring, with rounded edges for comfortable wear and a robust 8mm width for a solid presence.

Unique Engagement Rings with Traditional Backgrounds
Although a traditional engagement ring may be quite common to the people belonging to a certain area, yet, when these traditional rings are worn by people living in areas far away from that culture, these rings not only look different and unique, but also a source of attention.
One such example is of the Celtic engagement rings that are gaining wide popularity due to their detailed designing of infinite knots, hence symbolizing the never-ending love between the couple. One does not need to belong to Irish or Celtic culture to understand the beauty of the ring and the value of its knots. Any eye that appreciates elegance will admit that these rings are a true symbol of love and beauty. In order to give such rings a more personalized feel, jewelers can also add initials of couples, hence making these rings truly unique. Furthermore, adding gemstones and two-tone metals to these rings further add to their grace and uniqueness. The
